Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee got some respite in the case related
to her land in Shirdi when Justice Naresh Patil of the Aurangabad
bench of the Bombay High Court directed the authorities to take
mutation entries of Rani Mukherjee’s ownership on the 7/12 documents.
The High Court bench is hearing a petition filed by Rani challenging
the Shrirampur sub-divisional officer’s (SDO) order scrapping her
right on the property. The court also directed the actress to provide
a bank guarantee of Rs 30 lakh subject to the decision on the
petition. The SDO had imposed a fine of Rs 66 lakh on Mukherjee, said
government pleader Umakant Patil, who had opposed the relief saying
that it may amount to clearing the land for the actress.
Rani’s lawyer Shashikumar Chowdhary, in a statement said “Following
the high court directives in June 2008, we had applied to the
authorities for processing our application regarding inclusion of her
name on the 7/12 documents. But the officials had rejected our plea.”
On April 9, 2008, too, the court had ordered a status quo in the case
and questioned the government as to why only the petitioner has been
fined by the official concerned, when she happened to be the last
person to buy the piece of land from the total property of 58 gunthas’
(12,000 square feet) in question, occupied and possessed by 16 people
Rani had bought an open space closer to the pilgrim town of Shirdi.

She’s always been so svelte and sultry. Irrespective of weight however, the actress manages to look pretty and glamourous.
Rani Mukerji‘s off and on battle with the bulge continues even now. A far cry from the simple girl who charmed Aamir Khan in Ghulam, the transformation has not been overnight, though. The actress looked subtly better with each film starting with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to her last release, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic.
The Bengali beauty has several splendid performances to her credit, especially in woman-oriented filmi avatars. To name a few are her films, Babul, Veer Zara, Paheli and even Hum Tum is a epitome of women-power.
Rani has always brought the pain and perseverance of women on screen extremely well. Like in Babul, she expresses the reluctance, resentment and reservations of a young widow to let go of her past memories and move on to re-marry. Expectedly, Rani is admirable portraying the heartbroken and fragile status of her character.
Similarly, in Veer Zara, Rani’s character oozes dignity and grit making you forget that VZ is a love story.
In Paheli, Rani paints a fairy-tale picture of a lonely newly married girl who falls in love with the lookalike of her husband in a touching way. Her adaptation of a rural rajasthani women was indeed commendable.
In Hum Tum as the level-headed but outspoken Rhea Prakash, Rani made a women look really strong despite her emotions.
Rani Mukherjee might have very well been in the film industry for over 10 years, she‘s done a whole lot of shit flicks and a few occasional ones with actual scripts. This pint sized (read short), ‘queen‘ of Bollywood has come a long way with her acting (has anyone seen the Bichoo‘s and Badal‘s?) But, her fashion sense is well, TERRIBLE.
Saif Ali Khan and Rani made a lovely pair in Siddharth Anand‘s Ta Ra Rum Pum.
The only thing ruining the chemistry is Rani’s over-the-top fashion sense. For a family drama, the film sure picks up strange outfits — check out the fiasco on your left, for a taste — for the reel-life mother of two.
Another horror statement from Bunty Aur Babli.
We admire Rani’s ability to smile so sprightly — maybe she’s trying to match the colours of her outfit — in spite of looking like a cross between a corn on cob and a Holi enthusiast.
Would you like to add to the list? Or do you think we were too hard on her?

Rani Mukherjee has a dynamic personality and with that this 5’2” tall (rather short) bollywood actress manages to look fashionable and glamorous.
Rani’s star status in Bollywood today is no o less than any of her contemporaries. Rather Rani Mukherjee enjoys more priveleged status than many other girls. She has her own distinctive style and she does make unique fashion statements.
See for yourself…
Rani use natural make-up to a large extent. She does not do over the top makeup anyday. She just uses foundation, concealer and kajal, there your Rani kind of makeup is done! For the lips use base colours or light browns. Rani manages her dusky complexion well by highlighting her eyes and shiny lips.
You cannot catch Rani following every new trend, but when it comes to fashion in sarees, Rani is the first one to follow it. She was the one who introduced the concept of teaming lacey blouse with sarees and she sure looked sexy in them. Rani does not have an hour glass figure and she can be termed as being on the “healthy” side. However, she chooses her clothes smartly so that they accentuates her curves and does not make her look fat.
Rani usually does not wear loud accessories, but one can spot her wearing ethnic-long earrings for traditional dresses. So to look like her, go minimal on your accessories.
So Rani wannabe girls…follow and look your best!!!

Mukerji changed the English transliteration of her surname from Mukherjee to Mukerji several years ago. At the time, it was reported that she did this for numerological reasons. In 2006, Mukerji stated that numerology was not a concern; her name had been put down as Mukerji on her passport, and she wanted to be consistent.
In June 2005, Mukerji was widely criticized following the publication of an interview with British newspaper Desi Xpress. Mukerji was asked to name her idol and she replied, “Adolf Hitler”. However, in an interview with Times Now a year later, she denied ever mentioning Hitler’s name.
On the Sets
In November 2006, Mukerji was shooting for the film Laaga Chunari Mein Daag in Varanasi when over-zealous fans crowded the set. Security personnel beat the crowd back.A media storm followed as various groups insisted that Mukerji should have stopped the security guards. Mukerji later issued an apology.
From time to time, her romance rumours have also cropped up.

And what a comeback that was…with a refreshing love story Saathiya and another Muhjse Dosti Karoge!
She brought alive the Suhani of Saathiya. In the backdrop of Mumbai, the role of an independent doctor girl was well portrayed by Rani. She was natural and the chemistry with Vivek Oberoi was indeed enthralling.
Then came, not a big box-office hit but a holding love-story Muhjse Dosti Karoge!. The subtle character of a simple girl who meets her best pal whom she loved right from her childhood days was well carried on by her.
So, Rani made it clear with these two performances that she had immense potential as an actress.

Khandala girl is showing sheer dedication and is working out very hard to tone up her body for her Yash Raj next film in which she plays the role of a sportsperson.
Aamir Khan’s trainer Satyajit Chourasia is helping her with her exercises. We spoke to Satyajit Choursia about Rani Mukherjee’s work-out regime.
Here is what he told…
Rani does alternate days exercise which includes yoga and weight training and it’s mainly loose weight training, floor exercises and freehand exercises. She also works with dumbles and her working habits are divided into two schedules. She sweats it out for one and an half hour. She can’t do heavy weight because of her height so she only does loose weight training.”
No oily food and basically one should have balance diet and each individual will have different balance diet as it depends upon a person’s DMRE and metabolism structure.
Accordingly then, we prepare balance diet, so for Rani also there is a separate balance diet with 45% carbohydrates, 40% protein and 15% fats and this balance diet includes no sugar and maida flour and oil just one tablespoon in a day and most important no sweets.
Rani already looked thinner than her normal self in the song that she did for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She’s working on her next film for Yash Raj called Cricket, in which she is a player. So Rani is going on the foot-prints of her co-actor Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

The Media Spa launch on Tuesday, April 7th late night in Bandra, Mumbai witnessed a huge celebrities turnout. Rani Mukerjee too was seen after a long gap at an event and her weight loss training sessions seems to have worked or may be the long string of flops has done its damage on her health. For a minute, we could not recognize that it was Rani. She as usual avoided speaking to the media and rushed off when we tried getting a sound byte from her. Like Rani, Manisha Koirala seemed to have lost a lot of weight and was looking cool.
We also witnessed Karan Johar, Karishma Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Dino Morea, Malaika Arora Khan (a must for such events), Kunal Kapoor, Farah Kha, Chunkey Pandey with wife Bhavana Pandey, designer Nandita Mahtani, Leena Mogre, Manisha Koirala and in a rare appearance Neetu Singh.
Love birds Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza came in separately and avoided getting posed together in front of the present photographers.
But once inside they kept stuck together till it was time to leave, separately again since the photographers
were still around outside.
It was also after a long time we saw Bobby come along with wife Tanya Deol.

Tania Deol, Bobby Deol‘s ravishing wife recently unveiled her furniture shop “Jewels in the forest” in Mumbai. The launch was a star-studded event and we witnessed many from the tinsel-town for the same.
After a long hiatus, Rani Mukherjee made a rare public appearance at the unveiling of Tania Deol’s latest homeware collection wearing a pair of slim cut jeans teamed with black top. She seems to have lost a ton of weight and looking great. She completed her look with a quilted Chanel and round toe black patent pumps.
Other B-Town stars present were Abhishek Bachchan, David Dhawan, Goldie Behl with wife Sonali Bendre, Dia Mirza, Twinkle Khanna, Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder, Atul and Alvira Agnihotri, Bhavana and Chunky Pandey and Maheep Kapoor among others.
We loved Diya’s retro hair and simple styling for the show.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai(1998) is another love story, produced under the Dharma Productions banner, and is being distributed by Yashraj Films, which means quality work. Karan Johar has done a superb job as a debutant director.
Shahrukh appears in a fatherly role for the first time, which he plays marvelously, giving a new touch to his acting. Rani Mukherjee as Tina Malhotra Khanna, the principal’s daughter, feminine, sophisticated, studied from Oxford University. She is the woman with whom Rahul eventually has a daughter. She dies and sends her daughter to matchmake her widowed husband with Anjali through letters written before her death.
Rani Mukherjee plays a very short but sweet and winning role, for which she has gained a lot of fame in a short time. Critics feel that after a long time, a film came that may be compared to the all-time classics, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.
Rani Mukerji features in a supporting role, while Salman Khan has an extended cameo appearance. The film was extremely successful both in India and abroad, winning major awards in all categories including the Best Film award at The 44th Annual Filmfare Awards, Lux Zee Cine Awards, Sansui Viewers’ Choice Awards, Aashirwad Awards, Bollywood Awards and the National Awards.
The story begins with the funeral of Tina (Rani Mukherjee), who wants her new-born daughter – whom she names Anjali – to know her even though she won’t exist any longer. The story slowly unfolds with the lives of three college-mates, Tina, Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) and Anjali (Kajol).
Rahul did seem to have feelings for Anjali, but she, being a tom-boyish character, could never show her feelings to him clearly. Rahul, though, soon fell for Tina – the principal’s daughter who arrived from London – least realising Anjali’s fate. At this point, Anjali realised just how much she loved Rahul. Tina had always been suspicious about this love, but could not be sure of it.
Anjali Jr. is extremely touched by this love story, and decides to get the two together. After about a decade, Rahul and Anjali Senior see each other. Soon, their love for each-other arises once again. And they are re-united once again.
On the whole, Rani plays a short but sweet role in the film and of-course gained lot of popularity in a short time.
